“Nova” represents movement, new era; it also means continuous innovation… this is so the perfect word to define next versions of Orchestra open source project

“Nova” prefix identifies Orchestra v4 release.

What is the Nova Orchestra technology?

“Nova” technology is based on the “Process Virtual Machine” conceptual model for processes. The Process Virtual Machine defines a generic process engine enabling support for multiple process languages (such BPEL, XPDL…).

On top of that, it leads to a pluggable and embeddable design of process engines that gives modelling freedom to the business analyst. Additionally, it enables the developer to leverage process technology embedded in a Java application.

Who is behind Orchestra and Nova technologies?

Orchestra project is developed by an international team of passionate BPM and web service orchestration developers.

Most of those developers are working under the Bull R&D labs umbrella located in France and USA. Other members from INRIA labs and eXo Platform community are also involved in those projects.
